Cher, fondly nicknamed Cher'bear, is a young Cairn Terrier mix looking for a forever home. She has scruffy/curly very light blond hair. She weighs 17 pounds and sheds very little, so she would be hypoallergenic like the Cairn. She displays most all of the Cairn traits, such as very adventurous, intelligent, playful, patient, loyal and most of all very loving.
Per her foster mom: She has been in foster care for 3 weeks and is a joy. She is wonderful with my children and my other small dogs. Her best friend is a 6 lb Chihuahua that she has learned to be gentle with. She loves to wear a sweater and has been a great sport with all the dress up games my 10 year old daughter plays with her. As with all young dogs, she needs lots of toys to keep her busy and to chew on. We have had no problems with her chewing on anything but her toys. She loves to play and run and would love regular exercise and or a fenced in yard. She would make a great companion to another playful dog. She is very good in the car and is starting to figure out she will get to have a great time and see exciting places like the dog park. She loves to go for walks with a gentle lead to curb some of her pulling so we can keep up with her and thinks the further the walk the better. The Cairn Terrier in her makes her very easy to train, she has learned so much in a very short amount of time. She sits and recalls easily if she isn't chasing a squirrel or going to the neighbors to play with her friend Bruno. We have 2 old cats and she has learned not to chase them. She still wants to play with them but sense they don't feel the same she just watches them and hopes they will change their minds. She loves to go outside, but she will bark if she is lonely or bored. She is fearful of some dogs causing her to bark at them, but she was at Petco where she was introduced to a wide variety of other dogs and did wonderful.
